Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Margino mobile application (“Margino”, “the App”), you (“you”, “the user”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Margino is operated by Cemal Yılmaz (“we”, “us”, “the developer”), a sole proprietor based in Istanbul, Türkiye.
2. Subscription Terms
Margino offers a paid subscription tier (“Margino Pro”) through the Apple App Store and Google Play in-app purchase systems.
- Pricing: Margino Pro is USD $14.99 per month (local currency equivalent in non-US markets, set by Apple/Google price tiers).
- Free trial: New subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid monthly plan and your payment method is charged.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Cancellation: You may cancel anytime via your Apple ID → Subscriptions (iOS) or Google Play → Subscriptions (Android) settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; your Pro access remains active until then.
- Refunds: Refund requests are governed by Apple App Store policy or Google Play policy. Margino cannot issue refunds directly; please contact Apple Support or Google Play Support for refund requests.
- Free tier: Margino offers a free tier with usage limits (5 receipts per account). Free tier features may change at our discretion.
3. License (End User License Agreement)
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Margino on devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Standard EULA (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula) for iOS users, or the equivalent Google Play terms for Android users.
You agree NOT to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from Margino
- Use Margino for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit Margino itself
- Circumvent subscription billing or attempt to access Pro features without payment
4. Service Description
Margino allows you to:
- Capture photos of supplier invoices and retail receipts
- Receive parsed line-item data extracted by AI vision technology
- Keep a product list with your latest costs in the App
- See suggested in-store and delivery-platform prices based on your target margin and your delivery-app commission plan
- Receive cost insights based on regional cost benchmarks and public reference prices (e.g. US Bureau of Labor Statistics average prices)
- Optionally, have your products and prices written to your own Google Sheet
If you connect Google Sheets, the Sheet is owned by you. Margino only writes new rows or updates existing rows; we never read or modify other files in your Google Drive. You can delete the Sheet, share it, or revoke Margino’s access at any time via Google Account → Security → Third-party access.
5. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information during sign-up and use
- Using Margino in compliance with all applicable laws (tax reporting, data protection, etc.)
- Maintaining the confidentiality of supplier and customer data captured in your receipts
- Verifying parsed receipt data before using it for business decisions, tax filings, or accounting purposes
- The accuracy of your target profit margin setting and any pricing decisions you make based on Margino’s suggestions
Margino is a decision-support tool, not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or legal advice.
6. Intellectual Property
All Margino software, design, branding, and original content are the intellectual property of Cemal Yılmaz. You retain full ownership of:
- Receipts you capture
- Data written to your Google Sheet
- Any business decisions you make using Margino
7. Limitation of Liability
Margino is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for:
- Inaccurate parsing of receipts (AI vision can make mistakes — always verify)
- Financial losses from pricing decisions made using Margino’s suggestions
- Loss of data due to Google Sheets, your account, or third-party services
- Service interruptions, downtime, or feature changes
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability for any claim related to Margino is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account in the app, which permanently removes your data from our servers (your Google Sheet remains in your Drive — delete it manually if desired). 9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via app update notes or email. Continued use of Margino after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Türkiye, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction apply.
